Spring equinox

Thanks to truly horrible trail markings, an eight mile hike instead of the three or four we intended. Still, no better way to spend the first day of spring than in the forest watching Gilly sproink and bob while red-tails flew into the sun.

The peepers began their chorus, right on first-day-of-spring cue:

According to friends all over the northeast, they all started singing at once.
