  1. Ha! One of my favorite memories of my sister: sitting in high chair with no tray in a ruffly dress, licking a messy ice cream cone, with our Irish setter and cocker spaniel staring up at her. She leans over and allows first one dog and then the other to take one lick each. Then she licks some more, and then gives a lick to first one dog and then the other. And so on. The dogs made no move to steal the entire cone, just sat and waited for their turns. Although when the cone finally dripped on her foot, the Irish setter helpfully cleaned it up.
