How to Teach Physics to Your Dog

This is going to be a must-have book.

Chad Orzel is the man responsible for the widely disseminated blog post “Many Worlds, Many Treats” explaining multiple universe theory to his dog Emmy.

Another one of his that made the rounds was “Bunnies Made of Cheese,” in which he explains virtual particles.

Or maybe Emmy herself  (a rescue dog, of course) explains it all to us Humanities-type laypeople who think physics = unutterable cool but can’t necessarily get a whole lot further than the ‘unutterable’ part without someone breaking it down for us.

While I’m sometimes wary of the publishing phenomenon of blog-sprung books, I can’t wait to read this one. Orzel is truly a funny, charming writer. And it’s physics-geekery. With dog.

Dogs. Geeks. Good writing.

What more could I ask?

  1. Diane and I have agreed to get each other only one present this Christmastime, saving as many pennies as possible for an adventure next summer.

Now I know what I’m going to ask for.

  2. An excellent plan.
Really looking forward to reading this – he’s so funny.
